Artists To Watch: Tan Vampires

The Northeast Scene is all about the local music worth getting excited about. Tonight I had the opportunity to catch a local NH favorite - the Tan Vampires at the Barley Pub in Dover. What was originally described to me as “crooning kinda stuff”, is probably closer to if Sigur Ros frontman Jon Por Birgisson covered Conor Oberst’s next album. The songwriting is vividly present, the vocals ring through the songs more like chimes than lyrics, and the band confidently maneuvers around a country-folk sound that matches the genre’s sound.

If you haven’t seen the Tan Vampires yet, I’d strongly recommend it.
